Sunday Selections

September 12, 2015

Oh London. I haven’t been back in this beautiful city in two years and now that I’m back in town, I’m pinching myself for not having visited again sooner. Why have I waited so long? If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you may understand just why exactly I’m having such a fabulous time. Days spend admiring the pretty pastels of Notting Hill, sipping on (seriously) good coffee, laughing my little heart out at the hilarious The Book of Mormon show, and indulging in delicious and high quality food has been all kinds of lovely. Ben’s been busy — the reason we’re in town is because he’s presenting at a concept art conference here — but I quite like wandering around on my own doin’ my thing. Today I’m going to check out the Colombia Road Flower Market and explore some of Shoreditch. What are your plans for this Sunday?

READ: There’s been a lot of media coverage this past week on the authenticity of travel Instagrammers, with the Hipster Barbie Instagram account (@socalitybarbie) poking fun at the style of many travel Instagram accounts. This article discusses the power of Instagram and how this powerful social media tool is shaping the way people relate to travel. What are your thoughts on this?

EAT: How delicious do these dal stuffed sweet potatoes look?

MAKE: Wouldn’t this DIY garden herb salt make for cute little gifts?

BUY: I’m lusting after this bell sleeved top.

GO: A trip to Sicily has been pretty high up on my travel to-do list for a while now. I loved reading this post by Adventurous Kate on the joys and challenges of travelling in this region of Italy. It all sounds beautiful to me!

Lots more updates coming to you on social media over the next few days — be sure to follow along with me! x
