It’s Wanderlust Wednesday! We all need a little bit of inspiration to help us get over hump day, don’t we? I haven’t posted a Wanderlust Wednesday feature in a while (I’m thinking it’ll be more of a monthly feature than a weekly one), so I was itching to post some photos from my trip to Paris last week.
You won’t find many shots of tourist attractions in this roundup, I’m sorry. Even though Paris is known and loved for the icons of the Eiffel Tower, Sacre-Coeur, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and the Louvre, I actually didn’t make a point of visiting any of these on my trip. Yep, that sounds like me, doesn’t it? So what did I spend my three days in Paris doing instead? Basically what I always like to do when I travel: walk and eat. I like nothing more than exploring a city on foot (no matter what the weather) and following my nose. Exploring the local neighbourhoods and eating the local food really is the best way to get a sense of a place. Plus, I had been to Paris before (two years ago, over Christmas) and so had already seen many of the famous attractions then. This time, I simply wanted to imagine I was a Parisian and this city was my home. It wasn’t so hard to imagine, let me tell you!

If you’re dreaming about visiting Paris, you’ll adore Paris in Four Months, a blog by Swedish Carin Olsson who moved to Paris initially for four months but fell so madly in love with the city that she hasn’t left. Her photos of the city are divine.
