We recommend purchasing a high-quality and professional design theme for your blog from a marketplace such as ThemeForest or Creative Market. Then, customise it to make it uniquely yours.
Trello is a great productivity tool that helps us to keep on top of things, organise our ideas and keep our editorial schedule on track.
We use Dropbox Plus to share files and images within our team and with our clients. We also use it to store backups of The Department of Wandering.
We use the Sumo plugin to create our email opt-in pop-up and sidebar widget.
We currently run our email marketing through MadMimi which is incredibly simple to use and reasonably priced.
